1. Warranty Overview
Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd provides limited product and workmanship warranties on eligible epoxy flooring installations.
Our warranty periods are:

Residential garages and interiors: 20 years
-
Exterior flooring: 10 years
-
Commercial and industrial flooring: 5 years
All warranties commence from the original installation date and are non-transferable. They apply only to the original customer and the flooring installation completed by Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd.
These warranties are subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
2. Residential Flooring – 20-Year Warranty
Eligible residential garage and interior epoxy flooring installations are covered by a 20-year limited product and workmanship warranty.
This warranty covers:

Lifting, peeling or delamination of the coating from the concrete substrate due to defects in materials or workmanship.
-
Hot tyre pickup, including coating lifting or peeling caused by vehicle tyres.
-
Yellowing or discolouration of the coating due to defects in materials or workmanship.
Staining is not covered under this warranty.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer.
3. Exterior Flooring – 10-Year Warranty
Eligible exterior epoxy flooring installations are covered by a 10-year limited warranty.
This warranty covers:

Peeling or delamination of the coating from the concrete substrate due to defects in materials or workmanship.
The warranty is non-transferable and subject to the general warranty conditions and exclusions.
4. Commercial & Industrial Flooring – 5-Year Warranty
Eligible commercial and industrial epoxy flooring installations are covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
This warranty covers:

Peeling or delamination of the coating from the concrete substrate due to defects in materials or workmanship.
-
Hot tyre pickup resulting in lifting or peeling of the coating.
The warranty is non-transferable and subject to the general warranty conditions and exclusions.
5. General Warranty Exclusions
To the extent permitted by law, our voluntary warranties do not cover damage or deterioration resulting from:

Normal wear and tear associated with regular use.
-
Staining caused by oil, fuel, chemicals, tyres or other contaminants.
-
Damage caused by harsh chemicals, solvents, acids or other unsuitable substances.
-
Scratches, chips, impact damage or excessive abrasion.
-
Improper cleaning, maintenance, misuse or neglect.
-
Concrete cracking, movement, settlement or structural failure.
-
Moisture-related problems originating from the underlying concrete, including rising damp and hydrostatic pressure.
-
Defective, deteriorating or structurally unsound concrete.
-
Flooding, natural disasters or other events outside our reasonable control.
-
Repairs, alterations or modifications carried out by unauthorised third parties.
-
Use of the floor outside its intended or agreed application.
Epoxy coatings cannot prevent cracking, movement or deterioration of the underlying concrete. Existing or future substrate movement may become visible through the finished coating.
These exclusions apply only to our voluntary warranty and do not exclude any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Floor Care & Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance are important for maintaining the appearance and performance of your epoxy floor.
Customers should:

Clean spills and contaminants as soon as reasonably practicable.

Use suitable, non-abrasive cleaning products.
-
Avoid harsh solvents, acids and chemicals that may damage the coating.
-
Avoid dragging sharp or heavy objects across the surface.
-
Use protective mats or pads where appropriate.
-
Follow any specific maintenance instructions provided by Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd.
Oil, fuel, brake fluid, battery acid, tyre products and other contaminants should not be left on the floor for extended periods.
Failure to reasonably maintain the floor may affect coverage under our voluntary warranty where the failure has caused or contributed to the claimed damage.
7. Existing Concrete & Site Conditions
The performance of an epoxy flooring system depends on the condition and suitability of the underlying concrete.
Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd undertakes appropriate surface assessment and preparation as part of the installation process.
However, some existing conditions may not become apparent until preparation work has commenced. These may include:

Excessive moisture or rising damp.
-
Contamination within the concrete.
-
Weak, damaged or deteriorating concrete.
-
Existing coatings or unsuitable surface treatments.
-
Hidden cracks, repairs or structural defects.
Where additional preparation or repairs are required beyond the agreed scope of work, the customer will be advised and any additional costs discussed before the additional work proceeds.
Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd may recommend postponing or declining an installation where site conditions are unsuitable for the proposed coating system.
8. Deposits & Bookings
A 50% deposit is required to secure residential, commercial and industrial flooring installations unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits are due at least 7 days before the scheduled installation date.
Installation dates may be rescheduled where necessary due to:

Unsuitable weather conditions.
-
Excessive moisture or unsuitable concrete conditions.
-
Unexpected site preparation requirements.
-
Material availability or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers will be notified of any necessary scheduling changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
Any cancellation, postponement or refund of a deposit will be assessed in accordance with the agreed booking arrangements and applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements.
9. Warranty Claims
If a customer believes their floor has developed an issue covered by our warranty, they should contact Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd as soon as reasonably practicable.
Customers may be asked to provide:

Their name and installation address.
-
Approximate installation date.
-
A description of the issue.
-
Photographs showing the affected area.
Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd may arrange an inspection to assess the condition of the floor and determine the cause of the issue.
Where a claim is accepted under our voluntary warranty, Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd will arrange an appropriate repair or rectification of the affected coating.
Repairs carried out under warranty do not restart or extend the original warranty period.
These warranty procedures do not limit any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, compensation or other remedy where applicable consumer guarantees have not been met.
The voluntary warranties offered by Epoxy Crete Pty Ltd are provided in addition to any rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
